Dear Parents,
The Culinary Arts Department at Holtville High School is excited to have your student enrolled in our program. They will be learning skills for employment in one of Alabama's fastest growing industries. Students who complete our program (Hospitality and Tourism, Culinary Arts 1 and Culinary Arts 2), pass the ProStart 1 and 2 exams and complete 400 work hours in the industry will be awarded an Industry based credential through the National Restaurant Association and could receive articulated credit (college credit) to attend a post-secondary culinary program. We also have elective classes Chemistry of Foods (seniors only) and Event Planning. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Long with questions and comments.
